The famed market town of Bridport with its harbour at West Bay, famous as the setting for the television series Broadchurch, is the perfect base from which to explore Dorset's coast and countryside. Bridport is also home to a lively street market, twice a week and has an active Art Centre as well as The Electric Palace, cinema, theatre and concert hall, an independent entertainment venue offering music, comedy and theatre. The coastal fishing port of West Bay with its beach and harbour can be reached easily via a footpath along the riverbank. The whole of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, including the lovely seaside town of Lyme Regis is a short drive away.
